How do you feel about yourself right now?
How do you feel about your life and the stage that you’re in?
These are two questions I’ve asked myself pretty frequently over the years to check in with my mental and assess how I feel about life. Sometimes, like now, the answer is I feel great! I feel great about myself and my life. I feel Blessed. I’ve been navigating entrepreneurship for over 5 years, marriage for two years, motherhood for almost four months now, and with the help of my husband, parents, and other close family and friends, I’ve been doing pretty well. I’ve cried less than two handfuls of times at the time I’m writing this, since my daughter was born so I think that counts for something lol.
But the thing about life and being human is we don’t always feel great or think positive thoughts, do we?
Sometimes you may find yourself being your own worst critic. That’s because we all have an inner dialogue that is constantly running in the background and forefront aka the subconscious and conscious parts of our mind which can either lift us up or tear us down.
According to research, the average person has approximately 50,000-60,000 thoughts per day and concerningly so, about 75-85% of those thoughts are negative.
