I’m going to be very raw for a moment because that’s why we’re here right? This newsletter is formatted to provide some TMI in the form of Thoughts, Mantras, and Intentions to empower you to become the best version of yourself.
My mom and I say TMI to warn the listening recipient before saying the personal thing we’re thinking with no shame lol.
And something I’ve been thinking about lately are affirmations. If you’re unfamiliar with affirmations, they are positive statements that are said out loud, or in your mind, to combat negative thoughts or speak desires into one's reality.
Affirmations are powerful.
However, so are negative thoughts, and that’s what I started experiencing early into motherhood.
They say, the fourth trimester is a beautiful time to meet your bundle of joy, who has been connected to you and has survived off of you for the last nine months, and it truly is beautiful. My delivery was amazing, which I’ll discuss in a future newsletter, and the best part of course was meeting my absolutely beautiful miracle who my husband and I are blessed to call our daughter Jianna.
Now, as beautiful as motherhood is, I would be remiss to not acknowledge that it also comes with its challenges. One challenge that knocked me on my butt was breastfeeding.
